Welcome to SoBA
SouthTowne Business Association (SoBA) is a member-driven 501©6 corporation whose purpose is to promote the welfare of its members and all businesses bordering Willamette Street between 19th and 33rd Avenues including two blocks east and west of the Willamette Corridor. Using a name that has had a historical link to our area since 1975 and is widely recognized, the district is known as Eugene's SouthTowne District.
WHO WE ARE
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a vibrant commercial district in the South Willamette area through district branding and district advocacy. The focus is on building a cohesive commercial neighborhood brand image through shared events, promotions, advertising, and other consumer communications.
STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY
We partner with local government agencies and neighborhood associations to establish long-term goals which will improve district safety, transportation, and livability.
We hope to include future projects such as park benches, hanging flower baskets, district identifiers (such as light pole banners), improved walking/biking access, traffic flow, crime prevention projects and economic development projects.
Community events such as District block parties, charity fundraisers and other celebrations will focus on building relationship with local businesses and the surrounding neighborhoods.
